All the elite mobs in game need to be looked at, their damage needs to be toned down, some of them are just too strong. Im level 25/25 rogue war and level 19 elites in abby even in party are still 2 shotting me, making it almost impossible for a healer to keep me alive.

Agreed. Their damage is far to high, add to the their defense and stamina and tone down the damage significantly. The idea is that they should be very hard to kill, not that they should be impossible to survive.

I disagree...They are meant for parties not solo even if you are 6 Lvls higher you shouldn't be able to take them. I love how tough the bosses are in this game.

Im talking about while in parties. I was in an abby group at level 25/25 as a rogu/warrior, i had the priest buff so i had 1200 hp, mob was giving me a 60 bleed that did 180 damage every 2 seconds, which means a priest basically has to watch me until the bleed runs out. That is insane interms of damage on a NON raid boss if you see the hp to damage ratio, a trash mob that is level 19 shouldnt be absolutly ganking me. The spiders in there out right hit me for 800, so basically the only person in the entire instance that can get hit is the guy wearing the shield, but that isnt possible too keep up. Every elite mob hits like a boss, not just the bosses and that needs to change. Even in a party the mobs still do too much damage for 1 healer to keep up with. There is a reason they are called trash mobs, i dont mind hard bosses, but all the mobs on the way to the boss being super strong.. really, you love it, they all just have massive damage so people wont touch level 20 instances like abby until level 30 when the entire thing is grey, that is totally how the content was meant to be experienced.

I am knight lvl26, and I tanked abbey just fine yesterday..did the whole instance including final boss and then did bloody gallery later on.
I had 2300HP with buffs and around 2000defense...i did just fine. You wear leather..that why you got 2 shot.get a tank and dont get aggro |

I agree...though their meant to be party-mobs, they shouldnt be 2-shotting even or higher level players...their toughness is enough.

Its not like i was running around trying to tank in leather, So basically what you are saying is, everytime the tank loses aggro, everyone who isnt a knight in full plate with a shield and whatever stats you rhymed off, deserve to die in 2 hits or less. Cool, thanks forpointing out the fact that i know a knight can survive, however elites are too strong anyway, my hp is nowhere near 2300, so when i get hit by a bleed that does. 5400 damage over a span of 60 seconds, i am going to die unless the healer stops healing the party and only heals me. Is it sinking in yet, or do you want to brag about how much defense your knight has some more.

Why is the healer healing the rest of the party if there is a tank? Healer should only be healing the tank and only need to heal the tank unless he is healing himself. Everyone should assist the tank for control. Seems like there might have been a party issue here. Any game the bosses one or two shot any non-tanks. I played enough healers to know in a boss fight or fighting elite mobs if I get aggro I am toast. Mages are the same way. Why make it any different here.

Yes, thats exactly why you let the tank do their job and you dont pull aggro. If this wasn't true there would be no reason for a tanking class.

That being said, if you have a pull with several mobs at once, you have to expect that from time to time, aggro is going to slip, especially considering the finnicky nature of Knights' threat generation. No matter how much you plan and how much time you take in an instance, accidents DO happen, and sometimes, aggro just slips and people die. However, it's completely ridiculous that a NON-RAID, NON-BOSS elite mob is hitting a player over 5 levels higher so hard... not only that it's hitting them so hard, but giving absolutely no more experience than a non-elite mob! Yes, elites should be hitting hard, as it is their nature. But I feel their damage could be scaled back just a touch, even if it means making them harder in other ways (scaling up armor, resistences, etc). And finally, MAKE THEM GIVE MORE EXPERIENCE!! |
