No one wants to do instances! :(

I've been trying to get an abbey group going for a few days now, but it's impossible to get a full group for it because people don't want debt.

It's really irritating that people have this attitude. People are so scared that they will get a crappy group (a legitimate fear I suppose) that they outright refuse to go to any instances.

I can usually find people for the non-instance group quests (crazy kiosade, etc) but every single group instance so far I have out-leveled the zone before I could find a group.

Is anyone else having trouble finding groups? I don't like to complain, but it's getting rediculous. I would really like to see some of these zones but I can never find a full group for them.

(This isn't a complaint about the debt system, which I like so far.)

very true...I have been able to find groups for instances but just because I'm in a good guild and people are organized and can go...

but my problem is on the same topic - it is impossible to get a group going for your level (as in the earliest level when you can equip the gear and get the most benefit from it). Everyone who did abbey or Windmill with me are all lvl 25-30 and higher... by that time they have very little use of the equipment given as a quest reward. This is is a problem because you end up doing the quest out of boredom or just to put a check mark that you did it. You can benefit more from the equipment that regular mobs drop in the zone that u lvl in. All in all it turns out that smart people just straight lvl up and aviod (skip) the time-sink of organazing and doing an instance and win both in level and in better equipment vs those who put time in...

I.E. I did abbey at lvl 25 knight(which is low from what u see in zone chat, people go with tank lvl 26 and up, since they are scared of XP debt as u mentioned). By 24 I can wear plate and I've got the anteater [blue] plate leggins from the quest, which are better then the spy set (chain)...
I would imagine that for those people who do the quest at 27-28 the rewards do nothing but sell at some gold in a shop...

is this imbalanced?

I've noticed that too. Luckily I did Abbey 2-3 days ago when everyone was at lvl 21 and I actually had use from my drops, but now everyone who wants to go is lvl 26. And some of the bosses are just plain ridiculous. When you get Ancalon quest at either level 22-23 there is no way you can take him with a party at those levels. At least I haven't seen it done yet. You need a knight which is at least level 26 to tank him. They should either fix some of the mobs, or add a recommended level for this quest since it's downright impossible to complete some of the quests at the respective levels.

The suggested level is 25. It's in your quest window as format: [#]Quest name

# = suggested level

The bosses should be toned down a bit I agree, the mini bosses before Ancalon were as hard as Ancalon, and that's bad.

EDIT: I have gotten raid parties together fairly easily. Depends on what server you play on I guess. But on Artemis, I use Zone Chat and I can get about 7 or 8 people with 1 shout.

You guys need to forget those stupid abbey quests. The Instance isn`t just there for that quest armor set. Sure you need to be 25+ to do it , but the good Abbey drops are awesome even for level 28-32 characters.

First of all the abbey drops the elite skill crystals which would be one reason to go in no matter what , then you have a 3 piece set of chain/leather/cloth that once put together is very strong. Then the nice level 24 daggers that are the best up to the level 35 necro daggers.

There are plenty of reasons to do the abbey , the fact that its a challange makes it even better.

Man if people are complaining about Abbey, then they gonna complain more about Necro....

Abbey isn't all that bad, takes some thinking and strategy to complete it. In my guild everyone has a role or it's decided before we go in. And in Necro everyone has a strategy and we stick very close to it cause if we don't we'll fail. I love to farm abbey for the drops since they give good stats for transmute material to upgrade my current equipment.

yea exactly abbey is easy at lvl 25+ and the armor set it gives isnt worth crap after lvl 20 anyways your better off with loot armor or quest armor

That is the problem with having TOO MUCH punishment for dying, WoW had a great system, no punishment, just a corpse run, repair bill its good enough to get the point across. What is teh point of all xp debt and tp debt, all it does is force players to play absolutly safe.

Its bullshit, why do people think this is fun to punish players and then nobody tries to do anything. I spent hours today trying to make an abby group i finally made it, we got to the last boss and died a few times before we called it.


I think debt needs to be removed all together, death should force you to run back to your tombstone before you can fight again but thats about it, with a change like that people would be more willing to try and do something with difficulty. I cant even imagine whats going to happen when raiding starts and people avoid raid instances outright for fear of racking up an unfixable amount of debt.

Abby is a level 24 dungoen, you dont see anything wrong with a levle 24 dungoen requiring a level 28-32 group to do it, that just makes it even better in your eyes.

You seem to have missed the whole point that most players, dont think like you, a dungeon being more difficult then it should be makes it not worth doing, and people will just skip it all together, which is what everyone seems to be doing.

What? I dont see how so many can miss out on it. Heck its rather easy just doing it as a Raid. Ive seen many a full prty do abbey with all lvl 23/24's...and do it all. Owell...folks can either do it or dont...im sure guilds do it(or should).
