Friends can't receive the bonus in your house, you must log out in your house, the furniture must be placed in your house.

At only 8 Tp bonus you'll see very little, but when it does show, it's on the experience bar along the bottom, it shows as a yellow triangle. The way it works is for "added" TP during combat. Does not add directly to TP points in skill panel. The longer your in your house, the farther down the bar that triangle goes. My current house furnature has a 160 TP bonus. Mouseing over that triangle shows I have a +483 TP bonus, That from sitting in my house about 18 hours. I'll gain those when I go out and fight. I've had it over +1000 at one time. These get added to TP gained during combat only, not quest TP or reading from books. At 8 TP don't expect much, unless your going on a two week vacation.

i understand that and i also learned you must have a min of 50 for it to appear on the bar but by now ive definitely earned more than 50 if it goes 8 tp an hour. however i might be wrong about the 8 tp an hour stat

I've learned after making the mistake IMHO, that only good furnature is for TP, with only 10 spaces, I went with all 20TP furnature, except my chest. I also highly recommend getting a Skill encylopedia, to read while in your house, assuming you can leave your system up and running ROM when not playing, I've added tens of thousands of point this way. Currently added 3114 since this morning, directly to the total in skill panel, while at work. Still not enough to keep everything maxed but, almost.

I'm sure it's not furnature bonus per hour, perhaps a percent of it. I know i'm not getting 160 TP per hour, maybe 15% of furn bonus per hour. about 20 hours in my house with 160 TP bonus and I have 506 now. Using that as a base test point, you would need over 41 hours to get to 50 TP bonus, and have it show.

Here's what i've figured out, you receive approx. 14.4% of your house TP bonus every hour on the top of the hour. for my 160 TP bonus, I got 23 added to my existing +506 furnature bonus at midnight (my time) it's now +529. If your correct that you need 50 before it shows then i was pretty close in my 41 hours. you'll only get 1.15 or rounding 1 or 2 points each hour, likely 1. you need 50 hours of house time total to hit the radar. Not sure what else you are placing for furnature, but I wouldn't bother with XP stuff, as that is easy to come by playing, much more so then TP. Also, you can recall and store furnature, in it's own pack "store" and pull it out when you need it, such as crafting stations. I'd load up on the high TP stuff. My rouge house has one sofa=20 and 8 dish desks=20 (got them on sale 50%) plus they have one item storage , total TP bonus = 180, 1 spot for my storage chest.

While I sleep and i'm at work, system runs ROM, my character reads for a few thousand TP & my house bonus gets me 500 - 1000 more in combat. To be honest, at 8 TP your not really gaining anything significant.
