Deadwood Hunter Raid for Daily Questing Etiquette

1. While leeching every now and then is tolerated(got called away, bio break, etc), please don't do it for the whole 10 times you are doing the quest. If you get kicked out of the raid, don't take it personally, once you are ready to join the hunt again, its easy enough to join again. The same should apply to those who are kicking, they could have just been called away from keyboard.
2. Kill the worms on your own time. While you are in a deadwood hunter raid, your only concern are the dinos. I don't want to start an argument on who gets the meats so to be fair, lets take them out of the equation. Done correctly, you won't get agro from any worm anyway.
3. As you pick up the daily quest, start with the dinos at the plateau and work your way around the basin. IF done properly, you don't even need to kill the ones near the naga scouts as there are 10 dinos around the basin itself.
4. I know you can kill them on your own but why bother with the raid if you plan to solo your dailies. If you are too far away from someone, the dino you solo killed won't be credited to someone far enough and vice versa. We end up spending half the time twiddling our thumbs waiting for the spawn.
5. Killing as a group ensures

• a. the speed with which you can run ensures that by the time you are done doing the rounds killing, the first ones you killed will be up already.
• b. everyone gets credit for kills.

6. Loot the bodies!!! it takes 3 seconds to pick it up and throw it away. You don't need to be the first one to hit so stop and loot the bodies. I highly recommend Lootomatic and teach it to throw stuff you don't want automatically.
7. Some people believe that if they initiated/killed the mob, they have a right to loot it for a chance at high dura/x stats. Once again, this is a raid for dino kill daily quest. Look for loot on your own time. Sure it's rude/annoying when someone is looting ALL the bodies he can find on the ground but that is a testament to his character. Tell him/her about it and if they still continue doing that, file him/her under the will-not-party-with category and move on. IMO as long as he cleans the bodies, he's welcome to whatever he finds.
8. When starting a raid - please oh please set free for all looting.. nothing worse then trying to loot your trash and being unable to lol. - rubyeyes --- good one Auryin ^_^
9. For some reason, channel 4 has been established as the hunter daily channel.

Start spreading the word and maybe, just maybe we can finish the daily as fast as possible and we can go do whatever else with our time in Taborea.

It seems I have been overridden by everyone who had been so adamant about including the worms in the etiquette so let me change it to something else for the good of the raid. New rule number
2. I don't care what you do so long as you do not disrupt the flow of the raid. You can auto follow, twiddle your thumbs, kill nothing but worms, whatever, so long as you do not interfere with the 10 dinos needed to finish the daily in an efficient manner.

The last two days' groups were a study in contrast: in one, the unofficial group "captain" wouldn't loot corpses (!) and wouldn't agree to AoE mobs, stating that it messed up the respawn (! and not looting doesn't?!?!) and the group was tedious and I eventually quit it to hand in Swallow Walker Meats.

Yesterday morning, we had a raid of 8 or 9, and everyone looted everything, everyone passed on every drop, everyone stayed together, and everyone just let the mages AoE and no one else killed. We finished 10 rounds in just about 30 minutes. Looting the corpses, while annoying, ensured that despite our speed we were almost never waiting on respawn, at least not more than a few seconds.

The LOOTING etiquette should be implemented in ALL daily areas...ESPECIALLY the Bloodfang area. And yes, get Lootamatic...what a life and hassle saver.

+1 to killing worms outside of raid...and to those IN the raid...leave the worms alone!

^ I was gonna say that but some people only kill those worms and nothing else so I went with the all or nothing approach. At 10k health and up(assuming there is a healer around) those worms won't do much damage that you CAN go around ignoring them hehehe

Yeah i agree with that nothing worse than some leaching dino kills while only killing worms....

+1 from me as well.. the past 2 days I joined the raid there was someone sitting up at the daily NPC leeching.. I can understand afk for bio or what have you but sitting there for 7/10 dailys till someone is annoyed enough to kick you is just bad etiquette.

Personally I leave the worms alone unless they're in my way, doesn't take me long to kill them.

On the looting, when starting a raid - please oh please set free for all looting.. nothing worse then trying to loot your trash and being unable to lol.

Question on 'lootomatic' (never used it, installed it when I read about it here) - can you set it to automatically trash stuff you don't want in your bags?

There's a bit of set up involved...but it's not hard at all.

If there's an item already in your bag you don't want...trash it, and as you see the item come up in chat, right click, and add it to lootamatic. The next time you pick that thing up, it'll auto delete it.
