    Default activate rune prices

Whats going on with there price in the ah. I don't know about other servers but in osha they have doubled in price in two weeks. They went from 250k to 500k. Is it really that hard to farm them? I'm trying to level and just don't think that there worth that much. It's already hard enough to sell for profit as it is.

Mostly the price for runes seems to depend on how many people are questing in the areas they drop. I've noticed a few 'hot spots' for runes, and whenever I see a lot of people questing in those areas, the prices on AH drop. If nobody is up there for a few days they start going up again.

Step 1 - farm DOD a bit. Greed/Need on rogue stat as they are most common DOD stats.
Step 2 - buy 2-3 pieces of cheap L2 leather (hopefully OD) and dirty stat it with stats you just got
Step 3 - make alt rogue, send him the gear
Step 4 - wear your lucky underpants.
Step 5 - go kill mobs 6-7 levels above you. Check runesdatabase to see which runes they drop to make sure they get activates.
Step 6 - collect 2 or 3 runes from every single kill pretty much
    Step 7 - Profit

As soon as alt gets too high, lather, rinse, repeat...

That's neat trick. instead of rinse and repeat, what i have done was move up to the next higher level mob and farm em with my secondary or third class until the ruines wasn't dropping much anymore

I would like to know why they cost so much more than other production runes, such as frost runes. I use them for crafting, but will not buy them for 1k+ each just to level my tailor.

Activates for a level 70 even with massive loots runes and bonus's take an hour to farm 100 therefore the price reflects ...I just send mine to my wife and don't sell on AH
Nobody farms frost runes much making them rare , but you will need a crapload if you want to level crafting ,so some people may farm and sell but won't be free like getting hundreds of link runes dropping in your backpack

Supply and demand. Consumable runes cost more because they are used more. Occasional shortage might spike frost or purify, but blend and activate are consistent sellers. Oh, and disenchant and link are hopelessly cheap and plentiful.

Ok cooking and alchemy crafters, time to bring up the prices up on food and potions!!! supply and demand apparently. Cost more to make, then have to sell higher. YEAH!!!!!!! lolll

If you don't gather your stuff i don't see why it would be worth crafting with those prices.

Prices for blend and activate are threw the roof, cheaper to buy with diamonds than gold, or get them your selves. ;-)

really does help to be level appropriate for the farming area. i send my 51's to farm the kaa in weeping coast for dog tags. get stacks of activate runes as a bonus. i think farming for antlers in Ystra yields disenchant runes at a nice rate.

So, is it because the cooking craft is more popular then tailoring? Because runes used for cooking are 1000 gold each, and for tailoring i can often find them for 200 gold each.
